Aries Agro Ltd, founded in 1969 by Dr. T. B. Mirchandani and Mrs. Bala Mirchandani, operates in the business of manufacturing micronutrients and custom nutritional products for plants and animals. The company commenced its operations by producing a limited range of mineral feed additives for animals and birds, eventually expanding into mineral additives for agricultural use.
In 1975, Aries Agro diversified into the field of plant nutrients. Leveraging their in-house expertise in mineral nutrition, they conducted research to develop compounds that could effectively deliver mineral nutrients to plants. This research led to the discovery of "Metal Chelates." Subsequently, in 1975, the company ventured into agrochemicals with the introduction of Chelated Micronutrients through their in-house R&D efforts. Aries Agro became a pioneer in India by introducing "Agromin," a micronutrient fertilizer, in 1975, followed by "Chelamin" in 1976. These products, Agromin (chelated micronutrients) and Chelamin (chelated zinc), are the flagship brands of the company, establishing them as one of the leading Chelate manufacturers and sellers in the country.
Over time, Aries Agro expanded its product portfolio to include plant hormones. In 2001, the company further diversified by adding secondary nutrients such as sulphur, magnesium, and calcium to their range. In subsequent years, Aries continued to broaden its line of plant nutrition products, incorporating value-added, water-soluble complexes of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K).
