Solution to Fungal Diseases Affecting Grape and Chili crops in India
Share
Farmers in India are facing difficulties due to the availability of low-quality agro-inputs in the market. They include pesticides, fungicides, and plant growth regulators. This leads to increased expenses and reduced product yield and quality. To overcome this challenge, farmers need to enhance their knowledge to take better care of their crops. ResetAgri is addressing this issue by introducing farmers to quality products. In this article, we will discuss a fungicide with two active ingredients that can prevent and cure fungal diseases affecting Grapevines, Chillis, Onions and Paddy in India.
Powdery mildew appears as a white, powdery substance on the leaves, stems, and fruit of grapevines, and can cause leaves to turn yellow and fall off, reducing the quality and yield of the grapes and chillis crop. Anthracnose causes dark, sunken lesions on grape and chilli fruit, leaves, and stems, which can cause the fruit to rot and drop prematurely, also reducing the yield and quality of the crop. These diseases can cause significant losses for growers in India, especially in areas with high humidity and rainfall.
Fluopyram 17.7% w/w + Tebuconazole 17.7% w/w SC is a fungicide that can effectively control powdery mildew and anthracnose. The recommended dosage is 150-200 ml of the solution per 100 liters of water, which should be sprayed on grapevines as soon as signs of disease are noticed. Subsequent sprays may be necessary at 10-15 day intervals, depending on the severity of the disease. It is essential to follow the manufacturer's instructions and local regulations for pesticide use on grape crops.
Fluopyram and Tebuconazole work synergistically to prevent fungal pathogens from resisting action and getting controlled. Fluopyram blocks the energy production of the fungus cell, while Tebuconazole interferes with the process of building the structure of the fungus cell wall, preventing it from growing and reproducing. When used at the recommended dose, the product is quickly and evenly absorbed by leaves, clearing infestation inside-out and ensuring the quality of the harvest. Studies have shown that using the product can lead to healthier plants and better quality produce, benefiting the entire food chain.
Farmers may try this formula for control of Black Mould and Neck Rot in onion, False Smut and Dirty panicle in rice.
This formula is available in Indian market as Luna Experience by Bayer and KIVALO by FMC.
